 Verbal Sentence form

( -) S + did + not + V 1 + ( O/Adverb )

( ?) did +S + V1 + ( O/Adverb )

(-?)did + S + not + V1 + ( O/Adverb ) ?

Dalam tenses Simple past verbal, ketika bentuk negative dan introgative dimunculkan Verb auxiliary "did"

Nominal : Ordinary verb ( to be: was,were )

Nominal sentence form :  

(+) S + was/were + 3c
( -) S +was/were+ not + 3c
( ?) was/were + S + 3c

(-?) was/were + S + not + 3c ?

Was : digunakan untuk subject I, She,He,It 
Were : digunakan untuk subject You, we, they

Time signal
keterangan waktu yang di gunakan dalam tenses simple past 
menggunakan bentuk last ( yang lalu ), ago ( yang lalu )serta ekspresi yang lain

Fungsi
1. Habitual action 
ex: I always swam in the river when we were still children.
2. General truth in the past
ex: columbus dicovered America Continent ( columbus mennemukan benua Amerika )
3.Menyatan suatu kejadian yang terjadi di masa lampau
ex: l met Sam yesterdayb ( saya bertemu sam kemarin )
